Outdoor Banners
Outdoor banners are one of the fastest ways to create visible, high-impact advertising at an event, on a construction site, outside a shop, or along a roadside. Somerset Printing produces outdoor PVC banners in custom sizes, printed in full colour with UV-stable inks designed to last in the British weather.
We produce banners for a wide range of applications: events and festivals, grand openings, seasonal sales and promotions, construction site hoardings, agricultural shows, sports clubs, and community events. Banners can be hemmed and eyeletted for easy fixing, or supplied with pole pockets for suspension.
Size is fully customisable — from small 1m x 0.5m signs to large 6m x 1m hoardings. We'll advise on the right weight of PVC and the appropriate fixing method for your location and intended display period.

How long will an outdoor banner last?
Our 440gsm PVC banners with UV-stable inks are suitable for continuous outdoor use for 12–24 months in typical UK weather. Banners in particularly exposed or coastal locations may have a shorter outdoor life.
What size should my outdoor banner be?
It depends on the viewing distance and fixing location. As a guide, text should be at least 70mm tall for every 5 metres of viewing distance. We can advise on optimal sizing for your situation.
Can I reuse my banner?
Yes — PVC banners are robust and can be rolled up and stored for re-use. Roll them printed-side in and keep them dry between uses.
Do you supply fixings?
We supply eyelets as standard. Bungee cord kits, banner clips, and cable ties can be supplied on request. We don't supply scaffolding or hoarding frames.
Is a PVC banner suitable for a food festival or market?
Yes — PVC banners are widely used at outdoor events. For events with strong winds, ensure the banner is fixed securely at all eyelets and consider a mesh banner (which allows air to pass through) for large, freestanding displays.
